Hetzner Online awarded GreenIT Best Practice Award 2011
At a specialist conference for experts from industry to discuss energy-efficient solutions and future prospects for Green IT, Hetzner Online was presented with the "GreenIT Best Practice Award" for its innovative and energy-efficient data center park.
The prize recognizes concepts and solutions which contribute towards improving energy-efficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
The Hetzner Online data center park impressed the jurors with its innovative and modular building concept, environmentally friendly direct free cooling, the use of power-efficient components as well as the use of special measuring and control engineering.
The prize was presented at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology in Berlin by Cornelia Rogall-Grothe, Federal Government Commissioner for IT, and Hans-Joachim Otto, Parliamentary Secretary of State in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
